LA LISTE.COM for Africa : the world’s best restaurant selection

La liste.com welcomed us at the Maison de l’Amérique Latine on September 6 to share a moment of conviviality around delicious dishes prepared by exceptional chefs.
The theme of the evening was Africa, a continent of hope and exotic flavors, with encounters as tasty as the dishes concocted by some of “La liste”’s chefs.
Food is one of the most beautiful representations of a culture. By eating and drinking we learn of the land, traditions, and heritage. And of course, the people. By traveling and experiencing different cuisines and different cultures, one can find inspiration. Sometimes this inspiration can bring about fusion of flavours.

We have been able to taste an Aubrac beef fillet in Mafé sauce with fonio grains, peanut, Espelette pepper, and tamarind, by Chef Mory Sacko
Or Mohamed Cheikh whose dessert was excellent: Pomegranate cream, raspberries in rosewater, golden sesame crumble and pastry sheet.
This exceptional evening ended with a speech by the founding president, Philippe Faure, and the general manager Hélène Pietrini.
La Liste which initially was a list of the 1,000 best restaurants in the world is privately owned and was launched in Paris in December 2015.
