Le Bon Marché celebrated its 170th anniversary

On Thursday 8 September, Le Bon Marché celebrated its 170th anniversary as the oldest department stores’ in Paris. More than 1,000 guests gathered for a private concert by Mika. The guests were able to see a decoration in the colour of orange, and the numerous activities that the shop proposes during this anniversary which will last until 16 October 2022.

The evening started with Mika’s concert and continued with the famous “happy birthday” song. Pretty men looking like Alice in Wonderland came down and up the escalators with the macaroon set pieces. The evening ended with a DJ set.

The oldest department stores’ in Paris is celebrating its birthday with exclusive events, collections, clothing and fashion accessories and offering more than 100 special limited edition items. The department stores’ invites inspiring brands to its festive table to offer visitors a wealth of events and exclusive products.

After closing time, Le Bon Marché welcomes you for an exceptional evening to discover “Au Bonheur des Dames”, an immersive play inspired by the famous novel. Here, there is no stage and no seats: the plot stretches over an entire floor of the shop, lit and decorated for the occasion.
