The perfume house Cherigan, born in 1929, presented its history and its new perfumes during an event on the roofs of the Cité de l’architecture et du Patrimoine. This is probably a good place to make a reference to this house which is in a way part of the French heritage because of its age and longevity.

CHERIGAN was born in a pivotal period, an enchanted parenthesis during which Paris became the epicentre of the artistic world, the origin of a wave of liberation and creativity, of the explosion of perfume houses and their ever more sensual and daring olfactory creations.
After testing the colours and lacquering the bottle, the company’s master glassmaker decided to apply a thin layer of lacquer to the bottom of the bottle. The reflection in the corners brings the colour to life as if by magic. Depending on the orientation and the light, the bottle will be almost colourless or iridescent.
Inside, the extraordinary CHERIGAN fragrance, a unique sandalwood album, a special facet of ylang-ylang extraction are all essential details for exceptional perfumes.
Moreover, they have removed potentially dangerous components from their formulas without succumbing to the siren song of “green washing”. They are composed and manufactured entirely in France, only in perfume extract concentration and containing at least 90% natural ingredients. The components come mainly from France or Italy and are either recycled or 99% recyclable, explains their website.
High perfumery, a signature of know-how, made accessible.
