A New Shuttle Service on the Seine: Taxi Seine Paris

The Port Community of Paris (CPP) and HAROPA PORT have launched a new eco-friendly mobility option with the Taxi Seine Paris service. This initiative offers river shuttles connecting two iconic stops in the capital: the Louvre and La Bourdonnais, near the Eiffel Tower. With a fleet of 10 water taxis, each accommodating up to six passengers, this innovative service allows visitors to explore Paris in a new way while making it easier to travel between these two major tourist attractions.

Taxi Seine Paris stands out for its simplicity, comparable to that of a traditional taxi. Thanks to a digital reservation system, users can select their journey via a mobile app, and the first available boat will set off. The maximum wait time for pickup confirmation is five minutes, ensuring a quick response to requests. For added convenience, bookings can also be made up to 24 hours in advance on the website boat.parisjetaime.com.

This project is part of the 2021 Sustainable Tourism Conference, with the goal of enhancing mobility on the Seine while reducing the environmental impact of transport. River transport already consumes four times less energy than land transport. Additionally, a major engine modernization program is underway for boats operating on the Seine.

Beyond its practical aspect, this service aims to enhance the tourism value of the Seine, a river largely listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the water, passengers can enjoy an exceptional view of Paris’ iconic monuments and its unique urban landscapes. This privileged setting makes Taxi Seine Paris an ideal alternative for visitors looking to explore the city from a new perspective, while enjoying the beauty of the river.

Practical Information:

  • Price: €145 per trip (up to 6 passengers)
  • Operating Hours: Daily from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
  • Booking: boat.parisjetaime.com

Whether you’re a Parisian or a tourist, Taxi Seine Paris offers a new way to get around the capital, while respecting the environment and taking in stunning views of its architectural treasures.
