We will interested to the first themes : the race to net zero emissions. And it’s EDF Group and two of its startups, Urbanomy and Acteon Farm, were been putting their innovations into action to reduce the overall carbon impact of the event.

Urbanomy was analyzing the event’s carbon footprint and drawing up an action plan to avoid and reduce its greenhouse gas emissions as much as possible.

Acteon Farm, currently supported by the EDF Pulse Incubation intrapreneurship programme, contributes to the development of premium and local carbon sinks that sequester greenhouse gasses to the extent of the event’s residual emissions.

Also, in the EDF Low-Carbon Park, several startups were presented promising innovations such as the Spanish company Bioo, which was been showing for the first time in France its interactive installations that transform the natural organic decomposition of plants into a source of energy; Pentaform, a British startup, which has been revealing the Abacus, a world first, which is a portable computer made entirely of recycled plastic and consumes 75% less electricity than a conventional computer.
