This Friday, July 26, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will commence with an unprecedented opening ceremony held on the Seine River, marking the first time in history such an event takes place outside a traditional sports venue. However, some competitions will begin as early as July 24 and 25, so it is important to stay attentive before the official opening.

In 2024, over 10,000 athletes from 206 countries will participate, and the exciting news is that these performances can be watched live. More than 10 million tickets are available for purchase, although they are released in phases and prices vary widely. The organizers aim to make the events accessible to everyone, with ticket prices starting at 15 euros. About one million of these affordable tickets are available. However, prices can go up significantly, with some tickets priced at 24 euros and others reaching as high as 950 euros, depending on the event’s popularity and the sales stage.
Tickets for the opening and closing ceremonies are particularly expensive, starting at 90 euros and exceeding 1,000 euros for the best seats.
To manage demand and avoid system overload, ticket sales for the Paris 2024 Olympics have been divided into different phases. According to the official ticket sales website, tickets.paris2024.org, a new batch of tickets for various sports is released every Thursday.
To participate in the ticket draws, registration on the official sales platform is required. By selecting preferred events, users can enter the draws, and if selected, they will have the chance to purchase tickets. Once the draws are concluded, any remaining tickets can be bought directly.
After acquiring tickets, they must be validated through an official mobile app, which will also be necessary for entry to the events, as paper tickets will not be accepted.
