How was the 50th Bold Woman Award ceremony?

At the beginning of the month, the champagne house Veuve Clicquot presented its 50th Bold Woman Award in Paris. It was at L’Olympia that many personalities from the entrepreneurial world and former winners of this award gathered.

The evening began with the presentation of the Bold Future Award, which is given to one woman who created her company less than 3 years ago and whose last year had significant growth. She must have brought innovation and be ethical about her business. Based on these criteria, Julie Davico-Pahin, founder of Ombrea, received her award from a distance. The mother-to-be could not be present. Her company has created an AI-based technology for agriculture that allows to adapt the amount of light received by plants in the field.
Then came the emotional part of the ceremony, with the presence of the first winner of the Bold Woman Award, 50 years ago. Gisèle Picaud, an engineer in the construction industry, now 91 years old, went on stage with the head of Veuve Cliquot, Jean-Marc Gallot, under the eye of Bernard Arnault’s eldest son, owner of the parent company LVMH.

In a speech full of emotion, it is she who will present the prize of this 50th Bold Woman Award to VÉRA KEMPF, also moved to receive this award 50 years after that of Gisèle Picaud. Véra Kempf is the founder of SINGULART, an online gallery of contemporary art and design that challenges the codes of the traditional art market. Placing diversity, inclusion, transparency and the sincere ambition to help contemporary artists and designers to disseminate their creations at the heart of SINGULART, the gallery quickly established itself internationally.

This was followed by the appearance on stage at L’Olympia of Oscar-winning actress Gwynet Paltrow, founder of the Goop brand. In 2008, she launched goop from her kitchen as a homespun weekly newsletter.
After a humorous exchange with Mademoiselle Agnès, mistress of ceremony, the evening ended with a concert by Imany and the sweetness of Veuve Clicquot champagne.
