« Around Christmas 2023, while I was still working on the official Paris 2024 posters, I accidentally inverted the colors of the drawing, creating a nighttime ambiance with neon hues. Inspired by this mistake, I embarked on creating a new version of the poster, altering each color one by one, unveiling new details and paying tribute to the beauty of Parisian nights, » explained Ugo Gattoni, the illustrator of the official Paris 2024 posters.
« Ugo proposed this alternative version of the official Paris 2024 posters, and I immediately fell in love with it. I love the idea of showcasing the unique energy of Paris at night, which is entirely different from daytime Paris. This version of the official posters is a celebration of festivity, freedom, and togetherness, » said Joachim Roncin, Design Director of Paris 2024.
Augmented Reality Experience
Owners of the official daytime version of the posters can also enjoy this new edition. For the first time, Paris 2024 and the International Olympic Committee are introducing a unique augmented reality experience of the official posters through the IOC’s official app @Olympics. This technology allows users to explore the intricate details of Ugo Gattoni’s remarkable work in augmented reality.
By using a QR code linked to the Official Posters sold since March 2024, they will come to life starting July 25 in a nighttime version of Paris, visually showcasing all the sports and venues of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris and France. This interactive experience immerses users in the rich details of this artwork.
