Since its creation in 1964, the Salon International de l’Agriculture has become the biggest event in the French agricultural sector. With more than 1,000 exhibitors from around 40 countries and the presentation of 3,000 animals, the show is a real window on the world of agriculture in all its diversity. Every year, for nine days, some 700,000 visitors walk the boulevards of Porte de Versailles to the rhythm of the daily events.

The Salon International de l’Agriculture is divided into 4 areas: livestock and its sectors, with the most beautiful animals from the 360 breeds on show; gastronomic products from France and around the world, to take a stroll through the heart of French culinary traditions and have the opportunity to discover new flavours in the “agriculture and delicacies from around the world” area; crops and plant sectors, to keep up to date with the major crops, cereals, timber, plants and flowers; services and trades in agriculture, to find out about training and outlets in the sector.
The Salon also hosts the General Agriculture Competition, which selects and rewards the best French products and wines, as well as the best breeding animals. Nearly 2,000 breeders and producers attend the Salon International de l’Agriculture each year.
