Last Friday a presentation of fashion magazines created by the 2nd year Bachelor students of the school of fashion and luxury: EIDM took place.
Approximately 20 magazines were presented on the Paris barge moored near Notre-Dame de Paris, where the students explained their approach, their commitment and the reading angle of their magazine. Their Angle respected the pretexts theme: “Paris capital of fashion and love”.
Over a period of 2 hours, the jury had to note and then decide between the students and elect two deserving winners.

The 1st prize was won by a young student who’s magazine GASMA proposed focusing on urban culture. Its front cover referring to the youthquake movement popularized by Diana Vreeland, the editor of Vogue in the 1960s. A close link between fashion and the vision of the working class neighborhoods.
The second prize was awarded to Plastic Fag, the magazine that is committed to the underrepresented. The EIDM students who participated in this project received good news from their school president, Nathalie Le Palmec, at the end of the award ceremony; a delayed celebration of their work to look forward to when the current covid-19 restrictions subside.
