The golden bead has swapped Place Vendôme for the Nevada desert. Van Cleef & Arpels Perlée, the Parisian maison’s most playful fine jewelry line, is the star of a pop-up at The Shops at Crystals in Las Vegas, open from 29 October to 22 November 2026, according to the house’s official announcement.
The setting is the work of Arthur Hoffner, a French artist who works between sculpture and design and who has already staged Perlée spaces for the maison in Asia. WWD presents the Las Vegas edition as the collection’s first pop-up in the Americas, while JCK, which covered the opening on 4 November, puts the installation at around 750 square feet.

A playground for the golden bead
Hoffner treats the bead as something that moves rather than something that sits still. Geometric totems rise through the space and animated showcases set spheres in motion, a direct nod to the rows of gold beads that define Perlée bracelets, rings and watches. The artist sums up the affinity in a line quoted by both the maison and JCK:
“There is a very strong correlation between my work and the imagery evoked by this collection.” — Arthur Hoffner
At the heart of the installation, a central display brings together new Perlée creations and heritage pieces from the house’s collection. Around it, smaller salons and a library slow the pace and invite visitors to look at the jewels up close. On selected days, master jewelers demonstrate their craft on site, and a Perlée game extends the experience online.
According to the maison, Hoffner discovered ironwork as a child before training with the Compagnons du Devoir and at the École Boulle in Paris: a very French apprenticeship, now on show a few steps from the Strip.
From Couscous to Perlée: a Parisian heritage
Perlée may look instantly modern, yet its signature is decades old. Polished gold beads became a motif in their own right at Van Cleef & Arpels in the late 1940s, notably on the Couscous creations, and later outlined the very first Alhambra in 1968. The Perlée collection itself arrived in 2008, building an entire line around the bead, set in single or multiple rows.
Today the pieces come in yellow, rose and white gold, and the house notes that their central ribbon is mirror-polished by hand. It is this balance of rigour and lightness that Hoffner translates into volumes, light and movement.
Hoffner’s collaboration with the house has travelled widely. In summer 2025, his Perlée settings toured Singapore, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur, according to the maison, which quoted him at the time describing a collection that “embodies movement, playfulness and lightness”. For those who cannot make the trip to Nevada, the house’s website also offers a virtual try-on of the Perlée Signature and Clovers bracelets, a playful way to test the golden bead from a Paris sofa.
Why the Van Cleef & Arpels Perlée pop-up matters
For a maison founded on Place Vendôme in 1906, setting up in Las Vegas says a lot about where luxury now meets its clients: in experiential spaces as much as in hushed salons. With the festive season approaching, Perlée, easy to stack and easy to gift, makes an ideal ambassador. The great Paris houses keep reinventing their icons, as STAMP saw when Boucheron celebrated its Quatre ring and when Chaumet designed the Paris 2024 medals.
Practical details: the pop-up is open Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., until 22 November.
